Our hummus is a perfect accompaniment, especially with our flaxseed cracker or gluten free bread. We use organic chickpeas and superfood turmeric.

Turmeric dramatically increases the anti oxidant capacity of the body and also contains anti-inflammatory properties.

For 6 Servings


1 x 400g tinned organic chickpeas

50g tahini

1 lemon (juice)

1 large clove of garlic

7.5g salt (himalayan if possible)

½ teaspoon of turmeric

100ml of water

50ml Olive Oil 


  • Blend all the ingredients together, except olive oil, for 1 minute. 
  • Then pour in half the olive oil, and blend for 10 seconds this makes the hummus beautiful and rich. 
  • If needed add the other half of olive oil and blend for a futher 10 seconds.  

Season as required

We love this hummus not too smooth, and chilled.

Will keep for 3 days in refrigerator.
